Over on the [URL="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/10/09/resistance-retribution-resistance-2-interoperability-and-then-some/"]PlayStation Blog[/URL]; John Garvin, co-director of SCEAÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Bend Studio, has updated us on the information regarding the connectivity between the PSP title Resistance: Retribution and Resistance 2 for the PS3. Here's a rundown of how setting up the said feature will work.

First you'll connect your PSP to your PS3 through a usb cable and then run both Resistance titles on their respective system. Then on Resistance 2 you'll select "Infect your PSP!Ã¢â‚¬Â in the options menu. And that's it; simple as that.

Once connected it will unlock a new story mode, new items, and new abilities to enter hidden areas that he could not be reached before. It will unlock the ability to use one of R2's new weapons, the HE .44 Magnum. Additionally you'll also be able to regenerate health and swim under water.

Last but certainly not least is the [URL="http://www.consolespot.net/forums/psp-news/16940-psp-plus-allows-dualshock-3-control-psp.html"]new feature PSP "Plus"[/URL] which as stated before adds the option to use the PS3's DS3 controller to play. It will alow use of both analogs and have full vibration support. An extra option is to use the video output on your PSP Slim or the upcoming PSP 3000.
